Place this phrase at the very start of your sentence. Follow it immediately with the action you recommend. For example, 我的建议是多喝水 (My suggestion is to drink more water). You do not need complex grammar. Just state the phrase and then state the solution. It works like a verbal green light for sharing ideas.

Use it when a friend asks for help with a choice. It is great in the office during brainstorming sessions. Use it at a restaurant when your group cannot decide what to order. It is perfect for texting when a friend sends a 'what should I do?' message. It shows you are engaged and actually care about the outcome.

Avoid using this with your boss if they are very traditional. In that case, use more humble phrasing like 我想提个建议 (I would like to offer a suggestion).
